Accountant

Location: LA/Orange County Border Area (On-site)
Salary: $105,000-$110,000 annually

Position Overview

An established organization located on the LA/Orange County border is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its finance team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable handling multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger records.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Research, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
